School Uniform

Our School Uniform

The school has a uniform which we hope parents will provide consisting of:

Girls

  • Royal Blue Sweatshirt
  • Grey or Black Skirt/Trousers
  • Gold Polo Shirt
  • Blue/White Dress (optional summer only)

Boys

  • Royal Blue Sweatshirt
  • Grey or Black Trousers
  • Gold Polo Shirt
  • Black or Grey Shorts (optional summer only)

Black shoes should be worn with school uniform (no white or coloured trainers except for PE).

Royal Blue Sweatshirts, Gold Polo Shirts, Royal Blue Sweatcardigans, PE Shirts/Shorts/String Bag, Reversible Waterproof Jackets, Fleece Jackets, School Bags and Hats can be ordered from school.  A supply of Sweatshirts and Polo Shirts are kept in school, other items can be ordered at any time.

All of these garments offer excellent value for money and are made from hard wearing, machine washable fabrics, specially decorated with our school logo.  It would be helpful if all items of children’s clothing had the child’s name clearly marked on them.

The wearing of earrings is not allowed in school.  Make-up, jewellery and nail varnish are not appropriate for school.

Long hair should be tied back and coloured or shaved hair is not acceptable with uniform.

Footwear
Just a reminder that the appropriate footwear for school is black shoes, even with summer dresses or shorts.  High heels or decorated shoes (sequins, beads or bows) are not suitable for school use for safety reasons.

Children need to have suitable trainers or sandshoes for PE, especially when many of them attend sporting events.  PE kit should be a white T-shirt and black or blue shorts or tracksuit bottoms.  Football strips are not suitable for PE or for representing the school at outside events.

P.E/Swimming
New guidelines have been issued to schools which say that earrings should be removed for PE, including swimming, or covered securely by plasters or tape, this includes studs.

Swimwear for school does not include bikinis or over-sized shorts.  As swimming is a compulsory part of the curriculum for some year groups a pupil who is not able to swim, must have a written note from a parent and will remain in school with the other class.  All pupils not collected from the baths by 3.45 p.m. will be brought back to school where they can be supervised.
