Over the last few weeks we have had problems receiving texts via our school text messaging system (Call Parents), despite the system allowing us to send texts, there is a technical problem that will not allow us to receive any. If you have sent a text message in the last month, and have not a response, we have not received it.
I have made several calls to the company who assure me they have done all they can to solve this issue, but we are one of a few schools where the issue cannot be resolved. Although reluctant to do so, we have no choice but to change our text message contact number. We have authorised the change and are waiting for a new number to be assigned.
If you need clarification/a reply on a text you have recently sent please ring Mrs Raine, or email the school on email@example.com .This is especially important to any families who have reported an absence via a text. In the last month we have had several ‘no reason provided’ for absences, as parents/carers have not informed us of reasons why. These absences will be recorded as unauthorised, even if you did text the school, so it is important you call and check, just to be sure. These absences will build up, and families will receive a LA warning, and possibly a Fixed Penalty Notice.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused, but it is out of our control.
