At the Full Governing Body meeting yesterday, it was proposed and agreed that we would move to the online ParentPay system for payment of dinner money and breakfast club (only). We are in the process of activating this so please await further details.
Once ‘live’ we will no longer accept cash or cheques in school for breakfast club and school meals, but will continue to take payments of cash for all other events/activities in the same way, i.e. Fund, Clubs, Trips, Charity.
Once this system goes ‘live’ it is very important you follow the two week notice period for changing school meal arrangements, if you do not inform us of a change with sufficient notice, you will be charged on the system. The same applies for Breakfast Club, if your child comes to school between 7.45 and 8.40 a.m. they will be registered in attendance for this club, so please ensure your child is not arriving before 8.40 a.m. as a charge will appear on your account, even if they are only in the club for 10 minutes. If anyone has any queries or requires further clarification on this, please contact the office.
For families who already have a ParentPay account set up, you will still need a unique activation code for our school, it does not automatically transfer. Feedback from other schools administration staff is that ParentPay is quite tedious to set up, but once in full flow it is a very useful and an easy system to operate. Feedback from parents is that it is very easy to use. With this in mind we do anticipate ‘teething’ problems, so please bear with us. It is a widely used system in most schools now, so hopefully any problems with the system can be rectified quickly.
Further details and activation codes will be forwarded to parents very soon.
There will be a roll-out period for this system, with a final cut-off date for the payment of breakfast and dinners in school being Wednesday 19th December.
