The whole school attendance for March was 95.90% slightly below our floor target of 96%, but an increase from February. Sickness has not been a major factor throughout March. There are still a small number of families who do not inform us of their child’s absence, this is then recorded as an unauthorised absence, which DO add up and ARE monitored and referred. There are ways you can avoid these absences building up, in the first instance please ensure you contact school with a reason for their absence. Children are unwell from time to time, so don’t allow their illness to be recorded as unauthorised.
The March attendance by year group is as follows:
Year 3 – 94.00% – This is higher than February, but there is more improvement to be made…
Year 4 – 95.02% – Higher than February
Year 5 – 97.38% – EXCELLENT YEAR 5 – TOP YET AGAIN!
Year 6 – 94.00% – Significant drop from February.
As year 5 have ONCE AGAIN achieved the best attendance for March each child in year 5 will be given a cake/giant cookie on Friday 5th April as their reward. Class 5 (Miss Johnson) have achieved the reward for the best class attendance at an excellent 97.38%, well done! The Class 5 reward for this is a FREE non-uniform day which will be on Thursday 4th April
