The whole school attendance for January was an excellent 96.47% which is a 2% increase on December and pushes us above our floor target of 96%. Sickness absences are improving and there have been no term time holidays. Most parents/carers are very good at informing us of the reason for their child’s absence, which can be done via calling, texting or emailing the school. Failure to inform us does result in an unauthorised absence which may then instigate further action and monitoring. If your child has been off several ad-hoc times, with the same thing, this is recorded.
The January attendance by year group is as follows:
Year 3 – 96.13%
Year 4 – 96.66%
Year 5 – 97.47% – EXCELLENT YEAR 5 – TOP AGAIN!
Year 6 – 95.50% – Come on year 3
As year 5 have once again achieved the best attendance for January each child in year 5 will be given a cake/giant cookie tomorrow (Friday 1st February) as their reward. Class 1 (Mrs McMahon) have achieved the reward for the best class attendance at an amazing 98.18%, well done! The Class 1 reward for this is a FREE non-uniform day which will also be tomorrow. Mason and Ben were in my office when I discovered this and very happily told the whole class!
